Obama breaks copyright law

Filed under: News — admin @ 11:57 pm

It was bound to happen, President Obama gifted an Ipod to the Queen over in England.  To any normal person this would seem like a very nice thing to do, the problem is Obama has several RIAA flunkies on his staff and he should know better.  The Whitehouse gave an opinion that the $150k per track fine, the max penalty for violating copyright was fair in regards to file sharing.  This all relates to the Thomas case in Minnesota the only file sharing lawsuit to make it this far in the court system.  If the lawsuit sucedes then Obama should will have to pay 150k for each of the 40 tracks he just broke copyright law on.  I wonder when the lawyers left at the RIAA not working for Obama will try to track down this $6 million dollar fine from the President.  Now you tell me after reading this post if the copyright law in this country is broken….
