Can’t believe the snow we had was just 10 days ago. I am sad to see it go.
In New News, there was quite the little fire that sprung up on base yesterday, April 29th 2009. Someone must have thrown a cigarette and lit up the field. One or Two fire trucks responded and quickly put out the blaze. As you can see from the photo not to much went up. I attribute this to nobody working and just sitting at home for most of the day around base.
The Mazda has made it’s seasonal return into the mainstream car population. Boy is that a fun car to drive. Since the last time you saw it there have been some new modifications. Seat belts were added back in, first time since 2005. My hopes was to replace both rear calipers, I only got one changed out, snapped 1 of the 2 main bolts on the other one and left it at that for now. At least my parking brake works somewhat now, parking rock is completely optional for most parking spots. Fresh oil, wax, quick insurance and plate change and BAM, I now get 20 mpg instead of 30 in the GTP. Loving every bit of it.
Second I have some FAILs to report. I happened to have a new 09 10 yellow book hanging at my door.
Just browsing this full size ad catches my eye. Wow, still paying for full color phone book ads, something tells me planning could use some new ideas.
And lastly, Ford is trying to turn there company around although I am not sure they can without breaking the unions completely. However the boys over at Google seem to like to tarnish their image, I don’t know why. Problem is they link rather random photos next to there news headlines and sometimes its rather embarrassing.
Thank you Daniel for pointing out where the Mountain Lion picture’s came from. No need to fear that is the Black Hills out in South Dakota. I wonder who the local jokers are that start the picture hijacking emails are. You can read about it over here.

10:51 a.m. Homeowner does not want children trespassing in her yard to get their ball anymore. In the event a ball does go into her yard, she would like the children to knock on her door and she will get it for them so they’ll stop trespassing, 500 block of Norwood.
Please people no more trespassing.
I had these emailed to me, don’t know if they are real or where they were took. I was told that it is due south of Munising almost to U.S. 2. The the jpeg header information looks correct, same time stamp as the photo shows. I did a search using the image names and saw nothing in google with the same names that might have been doctored or stolen. Anywho’s they are out there.

The weather outside is the nicest I have ever seen. I am going to celebrate with some Domino’s. 1 Italian Sausage Marinara Bread Bowl, 1 Check Alfrado Bread Bowl, 3 medium pizzas, bacon, peperoni and ground beef. I hope there are left overs after I get done eating.
