My camera
A little bit about my camera, it is a Nikon D40. It is the entry level D-SLR camera. SLR cameras are always bigger/bulkier but the D40 is the smallest of the Digital slr’s. It allows you to use any nikon lenses but you need the new lenses to have autofocus work(they moved a motor from the camera body into the lenses for the smaller size). There is basically no start up time, flip the on switch and take a picture. On auto focus it’s prtty much point and shoot but if you want to get into manual settings, everything is adjustable. The camera starts out at 499$.
Nikon optics capture excellent color quality, the 6 megapixel image will trump 10 megapixel point and shoot cameras. I am however getting a decent camera phone, since you don’t want to carry a slr camera with you everywhere.
Over 5 stars, well worth it if/when you use it but it’s not a pocket camera.
