Mqt July 29th
I ran to MQt with Amy Carly and Rob. I was really disappointed at the selection of lake trout gear at gander mountain. Wendy’s was alright, the baconator burger really didn’t have much bacon on it. I got a phone call at 4:20 a.m. trying to fill the boat going to Stannard rock, but couldn’t because of the Mqt trip. I would have liked to go, great day for fishing.
Captain said calm all the way out and back, limited out the boat and took home some 14lbs lakers. I have to buy some jigging setups when I stop by Cabela’s in a week and a half, hopefully they will have 1-3oz jig heads, gander only had up to 1 oz.
